The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Winder to join our Divisional Shops team in Sudbury, Ontario. Relocation will be required for this role. This is a permanent on‑site position working a shift and supporting a 24‑hour operation. This posting is for an existing position vacancy.

Responsibilities

As a Winder, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing on‑site repairs. Your experience and skills will contribute to scheduled or emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance work to be done in a shop environment.

• Test, dismantle, repair, rewind, modify and assemble or overhaul armatures, stators, rotors, commutators and field coils for any size, type, and style of A.C. and D.C. electric motors, generators, alternators, transformers and magnetic devices.
• Complete breakdown, corrective and minor reports.
