This full-time position involves planning and leading biophysical data collection, focusing on vegetation and wetland evaluations. Ideal candidates will conduct environmental assessments and monitor construction impacts, ensuring adherence to Alberta’s Wetland Policy. Travel throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia is expected, adding variety to your role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead biophysical data collection initiatives
• Conduct fieldwork for Wetland Assessment and Impact Reports
• Utilize the ABWRET-A Tool for assessments
• Review and sign off on regulatory applications
• Mentor junior staff in wetland management
Requirements:
• B.Sc. in Natural Resource Management or Biology
• Professional Biologist designation or eligible
