Job Description
Role The Grand Philharmonic Choir (GPC), based in Kitchener, Ontario, seeks volunteer directors to serve on the GPC board, which meets six times a year.
Diversity and Inclusion GPC is committed to recruiting individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill sets, including non‑profit governance, charity law, finance, marketing, communication, fundraising, choral music, strategic planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, and media/government relations.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations Board members are expected to support the values, vision, mission, strategic priorities, and board policies of the GPC; understand the importance of choral music and music education; read and understand the GPC's financial statements and board materials in advance of meetings; attend board meetings and participate in discussions; respect the opinions and experience of other board directors; financially support the GPC as they are able; promote the choir in the wider community; and be w...
