Job Description
Lead undergraduate philosophy education at UVic by joining as an Academic Coordinator. Focus on critical thinking courses, support instructors, and mentor Teaching Assistants to improve student outcomes.
This role is dedicated to enhancing the academic and administrative support for philosophy courses with significant enrollment. As an Academic Coordinator, you will host office hours, assist with grading online, and ensure effective communication with students and TAs. Your contribution will drive innovations in curriculum and enhance the overall undergraduate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide instructional support to Philosophy faculty
• Mentor and train Teaching Assistants effectively
• Conduct online grading and quality assurance for assignments
• Advise students regarding course requirements and content
• Manage course resources on Brightspace
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in philosophy required
• At least 2 years of related experience
