Utilityperson II

This position is responsible for servicing the transit vehicles. This position reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance and Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle servicing duties including fuelling, fluid checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles and report defects to the shift supervisor.
• Ensure secure handling of cash forms and fareboxes with proper records.
• Assign coaches for daily routes and maintain general housekeeping within department facilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10.
• Successful completion of the first year of any mechanical trade.
• Work required during non‑standard hours / varying shifts.
• Possess a valid 1A driver’s license.
