Urban Farmers Program Coordinator Role
Job Description
Become a vital part of community farming with Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers as a Program Coordinator. Oversee gardening operations, organize workshops, and enhance local food security efforts.
This role invites individuals aged 15-30 to engage in meaningful outdoor work through TPUF, in partnership with FoodShare Toronto. You'll manage community gardening initiatives, train volunteers, and promote sustainable practices while fostering a sense of belonging among participants. Your leadership will make a significant impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily garden operations including harvesting
• Mentor and supervise volunteers in practical gardening
• Organize educational workshops and community outreach
• Maintain detailed records of garden and volunteer activities
• Serve as a liaison between community members and resources
