Work location: On site. Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no option to work remotely.
Position is a green job and may contribute to environmental preservation and support Canada's net-zero target.
Responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
