Job Description
Position Overview
We are actively seeking a Thermal Production Engineer to join our team in Calgary and support the Lindbergh SAGD asset. The Production Engineer reports to the Production Engineering Lead and works closely with field operations staff and the asset team to optimize production volumes, surface pad operation, reservoir efficiency, equipment reliability, and operating costs.
The role also involves planning and executing base and development capital projects, and supporting development execution and well pair start‑ups.
Responsibilities
- Optimize SAGD production and injection through well surveillance and target setting
- Work closely with field operations staff to troubleshoot well performance issues
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to make effective production optimization decisions
