Job Description
Be a part of the County of Huron's Public Works team as a temporary Patrol Road Worker in Wroxeter. Engage in essential road repair and maintenance tasks utilizing heavy equipment.
This full-time position is for a Patrol Road Worker 2, aimed at individuals who can operate heavy machinery effectively. Responsibilities include maintenance of roads and drainage while engaging in manual tasks like tree cutting and asphalt placement. Expect to be involved in both summer roadwork and winter patrol duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate Graders, Backhoes, and other heavy equipment
• Perform line painting and road sweeping tasks
• Facilitate drainage repair and installation projects
• Maintain yard, vehicle, and equipment as needed
• Assist in minor welding and construction duties
Requirements:
• DZ License and experience with heavy machinery
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• Must have a clear Driver's Abstract
