Job Description The Role

We are seeking a Temporary Team Lead for the Kamloops Library to coordinate day-to-day operations, membership, and circulation functions, and to promote the library’s vision, purpose and goals. You will create a superior customer experience by leading and modeling exemplary service. You will be responsible for scheduling staff to support customer service, developing and maintaining branch procedures and providing supervision including coaching, recruitment and evaluation of employees. You will help patrons of all ages with circulation, reference, readers’ advisory and technology questions. You will lead by example, developing and maintaining effective relationships with all staff, patrons and the community. You are a team-player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
