Yellowknife Education District No. 1 invites applications for the following term position:

Mildred HallSchool

Grade 1/2Teacher

Full time (100% FTE)

Term until June 30, 2026

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Education Degree and eligibility for NWT Teacher Certification.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience working inelementary or school
• Experience using UFLI or similar literacy program
• Experience working as part of a collaborative team
• Experience with or belief in using a strengths based approach to education
• Experience working with Indigenous students
• Experience with differentiating instruction
• A strong understanding of the curriculum in all subject areas
