Summer Student – Health Policy Research Analyst

Job Summary

The Summer Student primarily supports the Strategic Policy, Planning, and Quality team.

The Summer Student will support the development, analysis, communication, and implementation of the SLFNHA strategic, operational, community, and regional planning work. The position will also assist with reviewing, updating, and evaluating the SLFNHA Strategic Plan.

Qualifications

• Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment)
• Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects in the Sioux Lookout Zone is an asset.
• Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations and knowledgeable of First Nations’ people, history, culture, health priorities and social issues
• A student working to achieve a post‑secondary education in health policy, public health, public administration, law or a related discipline.
