General Function
The Sr.
Accountant participates in all function based activities related to accounting and internal controls for Accounts Payable.
Will lead special projects and initiatives, and will act in a supporting and supervisory role to others on the team.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Perform month-end accounting close activities including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and other reporting schedules and data analysis.
Review journal entries for accuracy and timely completion based on deadlines.
Reconcile vendor payments against bank statement and resolve all discrepancies.
Provide subject matter expertise for accounts payable related matters to team and in support of all functional departments and business units.
Assume a supervisory and support role to other team members as issues are escalated and while driving process improvements.
