Specialist O&G/Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

The Position

A full-time or fractional contracted Obstetrician and Gynaecologist staff specialist position is available, providing elective and emergency obstetrics and gynaecology services. The role includes shared on-call responsibilities with four existing Obstetrician/Gynaecologists. The successful applicant will be required to relocate to Wangaratta.

Health Service

This major regional health service is the specialist referral centre for northeast Victoria, serving around 90,000 people. It manages over 19,000 inpatients, 25,000 Emergency Department presentations, and about 700 births annually. Services include emergency, critical care, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, oncology, aged care, rehabilitation, and mental health. The University of Melbourne’s Rural Clinical School is also based locally, with medical students completing clinical training on site.
