SOCIAL ASSISTANCE TECHNICIAN (2586) Women Shelter at CBHSSJB

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Social Assistance Technicians are responsible for the provision of crisis intervention and support services, short-term counselling to all clients residing at the shelter. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide short-term counselling services that are consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives established by Robin’s Nest.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Diploma of college studies with specialization in Social Work Techniques, or Social Assistance Techniques from a school recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport;
• This job title also includes the persons who, after having acquired pertinent experience, have a certificate of college studies in Social Work Techniques or Social Assistance Techniques;
• Holder of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training is an asset or willingness to follow it.
