Short-Term Consultant - (Regulatory Specialist – GHG MRVA)

Description of the Project

In view of the challenges pertaining the implementation of the ‘Sistema Brasileiro de Comércio de Emissões’ (SBCE), the World Bank is supporting the Brazilian Ministry of Finance (MoF) via the Partnership for Market Implementation (PMI). Brazil’s work programme under the PMI is centered around providing technical assistance to the Brazilian government to support and facilitate the design and implementation of the national Emissions Trading System (ETS), in accordance with the legislative framework set out in the SBCE Law, including its supporting infrastructures, remarkedly the mandatory MRVA system. The object of this ToR is to support the development of the Brazilian Measurement, Reporting and Verification Program for Greenhouse Gas Emissions (PB‑MRV).
