Exciting Position Available for a Shipping Attendant
SUMMARY OF FUNCTION
The Shipper/Receiver will properly prepare and load outgoing shipments of finished products, unload incoming shipments, and transport materials/finished products to the appropriate department and/or storage location. The role will assist with yard organization and housekeeping.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick, stage, and load product for outgoing shipments.
- Unload incoming shipments and place in designated storage locations.
- Verify correct information and labelling of materials.
- Route items to appropriate departments if required.
- Assist with inventory control; provide weekly, monthly and yearly cycle count for steel reels and inventory.
- Examine outgoing shipments for any product defects.
- Report all product defects to the appropriate department.
