This graduate course is offered within the MHSc Medical Genomics program and is restricted to students enrolled in that program. The Genomic Methodology course teaches the theory and practice of molecular biology relevant to genetic and genomic testing. The course covers classic, modern and emerging genetic methods with a focus on computational techniques to analyze genomic data. Students who complete this course will understand the scientific principles underlying genomic tests, examine the limitations and applications of current tests, and will have the necessary background to understand and analyze new assays.
