Senior Systems Administrator for Mainframe Services
Job Description
Lead the engineering and support efforts for WebSphere and MQ as a Senior Systems Administrator for our Federal Government client. This role is pivotal within the Mainframe environment.
You will leverage over ten years of experience with z/OS technologies and five years specifically in WebSphere and MQ. Your focus will be on troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing system performance while ensuring compliance with security requirements. This role requires a SECRET level security clearance for operating in sensitive areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and troubleshoot WebSphere Application Server and MQ
• Set up DataSources and MQ listeners as needed
• Implement version upgrades and vendor patches
• Create and manage automation scripts for deployments
• Maintain documentation of system installations and procedures
Requirements:
• Extensive experience – 10+ years with z/OS
• 5+ years in WebSphere/MQ
