Senior Geo-Structural/Geotechnical Design Engineer, for COWI in North America Role location and type
Toronto — Regular, Full-Time, Hybrid Responsibilities
Perform engineering analysis and design of tunnels, caverns, and shafts in soils, bedrock and/or mixed ground conditions, including initial support and final lining constructed by methods such as sequential excavation method (SEM) / NATM, TBM, or drill and blast Apply soil and rock mechanics to evaluate failure modes and develop ground support schemes Evaluate subsurface conditions for different tunneling and underground excavation methods based on geotechnical data Prepare drawing sketches indicating support types, geometry, construction sequencing, instrumentation, and results; document these in technical memoranda and geotechnical design reports Contribute to digital delivery and information management of projects from conception through completion Qualifications
