Job Description
SENIOR COMPONENT ENGINEER
Location: Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico
Purpose
To complete projects with suppliers to provide an uninterrupted flow of components for assembly operations that meet instrument, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Responsibilities
- Complete technical projects with suppliers to improve supplier process capacity, capability, maintainability, instrument assembly capability, and instrument output performance.
- Determine tooling and spare parts requirements to maintain component supply.
- Provide technical support for approval/validation of changes/improvements in supplier processes.
- Provide technical support for resolution of component quality issues.
- Potentially coordinate RMI/CAD/BOM actives.
- Produce component cost comparisons and analyze alternative manufacturing methods for cost improvement projects.
