- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their commodity industry.
- Develop strategies to guarantee materials and services supply on time for an effective facility operation (lead time reduction, cost saving, dual sourcing, etc.).
- Source suppliers and maintain long‑lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
- Implement inventory optimization strategies within the company.
- Obtain quotes from different suppliers.
- Negotiate price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Work with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
