Join our dedicated team as a Vintage Cellar Hand for harvest season, focusing on the creation of our prestigious BC VQA wines. This role combines grape processing, fermentation oversight, and cellar sanitation responsibilities.
Working under the winemaking team, you will engage in multiple tasks including barrel work and cleanliness maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, along with a readiness to ensure compliance with safety procedures in a team environment. Candidates should be prepared for shift work and weekends during the busy harvest period.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process grapes through destemming and pressing
• Conduct fermentation management including sampling and nutrient additions
• Perform cellar maintenance tasks and equipment cleaning
• Complete compliance and safety work orders
• Operate cellar forklift and ensure inventory control
