Job Description
SaskPower is hiring Powerline Technician Apprentices for Fall 2026. Gain hands-on experience while working outdoors and mastering skills needed for powerline construction and maintenance.
This apprenticeship provides candidates with an incredible opportunity to learn directly from experienced technicians. Participants must undergo a two-day selection session and complete drug and alcohol testing pre-employment. Over four years, you will work towards obtaining the Interprovincial Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Construct and maintain power pole lines efficiently
• Master climbing and safety techniques
• Operate powered equipment reliably
• Endure varying weather conditions outside
• Manage heavy and bulky materials responsibly
Requirements:
• Comply with Saskatchewan’s apprenticeship standards
• Physical fitness to perform job tasks
• Commitment to stringent safety protocols
