Job Description
Enhance your skills as a Sand Blaster with Aecon Industrial in Cambridge, Ontario. This role supports diverse projects with key tasks involving heavy equipment and power tools.
Aecon is seeking candidates who are passionate and willing to grow in a fabrication shop environment. Prior training or experience in sandblasting is preferred, but not required. You'll operate the blast booth, unload materials, and assist with painting or coating tasks after surface preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Remove dirt, paint, and grease from various surfaces
• Set up and run blast booth equipment effectively
• Load and unload the blast cabinet as needed
• Assist in painting or coating as required
• Apply and remove non-skid materials when necessary
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Previous sandblasting experience or training preferred
• Experience with heavy metals is advantageous
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently
