Job Description
Join SafetyCo as a Safety Officer for a construction project in Hamilton, ON. This 8-12 week contract role is dedicated to ensuring site safety, compliance, and effective hazard mitigation strategies.
In this field-based role, you'll work closely with project teams, owners, and subcontractors to create a compliant and safe work environment. Your responsibilities include conducting inspections, providing actionable safety reports, and verifying worker training compliance. You will also liaise with regulatory bodies as needed while participating in project meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct site inspections and identify potential hazards
• Support implementation of safety programs on-site
• Lead worker safety training orientations
• Collaborate to mitigate risks with onsite teams
• Assist in the reporting and investigation of incidents
Requirements:
• 5+ years of construction safety experience required
• Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA regulations
