Safety Advisor for Mining Operations
Job Description
Take charge of health and safety implementation at Burgundy Diamond Mines' Ekati location as a Safety Advisor. This role offers a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off work schedule.
The Advisor, Health & Safety will engage directly with field operations. Your contribution will be vital in achieving the company’s safety goals through effective communication and hands-on support. Collaborate with all levels of staff while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support health and safety in surface and underground operations
• Develop and deliver safety training programs
• Promote reporting of safety incidents and root cause analysis
• Conduct safety audits and evaluations
• Participate actively on the Occupational Health and Safety Committee
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of mining-related safety experience
• Pursuing or possessing formal health and safety certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
