Research Associate (Vancouver)

Overview

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver campus, is seeking a full-time Research Associate to join UBC System-on-a-Chip Research Group.

The Research Associate will design analog and mixed-signal circuits for electrical and silicon photonic communications systems. This position involves circuit and mathematical modeling, simulation, and lab measurements. This position will involve integrated circuit and system design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in the field of microelectronics, optical and wireless communication


• Model Electronics and Photonics components


• Design and simulate integrated circuits


• Perform measurements in the lab


• Mentor students in modeling, simulation, tapeouts and measurement to ensure reliable results after chip fabrication
