Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)- Women & Children (Quinte 7)

Position Summary

Women and Children RPNs are an integral part of the Maternal Child team providing family centered care to postpartum women following both vaginal and caesarean births and their newborns. Women and Childrens RPNs work on a team with physicians, midwives and other professionals. We offer a robust orientation program with a mentor assignment tailored to individual experience levels.

Required

• Current Certificate of Registration in good standing, or eligible for registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current CPR or BCLS certificate.
• Minimum 2 years continuous clinical work experience (within the last 5 years) of postpartum nursing.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation.
• Educational preparation and experience in lactation support or obtain within 6 months.
• Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload. (PDA available to review)
