Responsibilities

• Administer medications.
• Apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing.
• Conduct specimen collection.
• Ensure infection control.
• Monitor nutritional intake.
• Observe and record medications’ therapeutic and side effects.
• Record medication observations in patient files.
• Take vital signs.
• Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy.
• Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
• Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on assessments and care plans.
• Monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
