Registered Nurse, Cardiac Access & Assessment - Triage - Royal Columbian Hospital (New Westminster)

Overview

Salary range: CAD $41.42 - $59.52 / hour.

Royal Columbian Hospital is located adjacent to the Sapperton SkyTrain station on the Expo Line. The hospital Redevelopment Project (RCHRP) is a multi-year, multi-phase effort to increase capacity, beds and services.

Responsibilities

1. Performs direct patient case management including:
   • Pre-admission screening of referred patients by interviewing patients, reviewing histories, conducting nursing assessments, identifying potential problems, and coordinating with physicians to optimize conditions and ensure required diagnostic tests are booked and completed.
   • Full nursing review including assessment of diagnostic testing and reporting abnormalities to physicians as appropriate.
