+ Under general direction, protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. Prevents illness and injury. Alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment. Advocates for patients and their families. Ensures all actions taken in carrying out responsibilities support patient centered care.

+ Facilitates transitions between healthcare settings to provide continuity of care.
+ Care of devices and equipment secondary to surgical procedures.
+ Assesses and anticipates patient needs for pain management to ensure acceptable pain management plan in place for discharge.
+ Prevention of Surgical Site Infections through postoperative care processes.
+ Under direction from the Manager, the nurse may be assigned the role of Admission-Discharge-Transfer (ADT) or Lead Nurse responsibilities for the shift utilizing the Lead and ADT Role Guideli...
