Job Description
Position Summary
As a member of the rehabilitation team, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with relevant legislation and standards, meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession.
- Planning, managing, evaluating and coordinating comprehensive professional nursing care for patients and families within an interdisciplinary practice.
- Using theoretical and research knowledge and input of team members to plan and implement care, including health promotion for ABI rehabilitation patients and families.
- Educating patients, families, referring facilities and other community providers regarding ABI rehabilitation.
- Participating in interprofessional team care planning forums, rounds and family conferences.
- Providing leadership, supervision and mentorship to students and recent staff on the units related to rehabilitation.
