The Role
As a Maintenance Intern in the García plant, you will support the development and implementation of a smart cost‐management model for maintenance activities.
This project focuses on analyzing cost drivers, strengthening maintenance practices, and enabling data‐driven control mechanisms to optimize, monitor, and reduce maintenance expenses across fixed assets.
What You'll Do (Impact Areas)
- Analyze the current maintenance system and its cost distribution across activities, assets, and resources.
- Identify critical factors driving maintenance costs, including failures, downtime, spare parts, and external labor.
- Design and implement a monitoring and control model that may include dashboards, alerts, and standardized reports.
- Document the full cost‐management process and ensure it is functional, traceable, and aligned with maintenance best practices.
