Primary Care Paramedic - Marathon (Full-Time Rotating)

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent – EMS Operations, responsible for performing patient assessment, treatment, and monitoring tasks, which include controlled medical acts while providing safe and timely transport in accordance with applicable Acts.

Major Responsibilities

• Responds to ambulance calls within a specified timeframe and reports each movement of ambulance or emergency response unit immediately to Central Ambulance Communication Centres (CACC) as required by Superior North EMS policies and procedures.
• Assesses environmental risks and responds to patient(s) and personal safety needs.
• Conducts patient triage assessment and evaluation.
