Job Description
Plant Technician (Open)
Location: Maitland, ON (N2O) (I) - N2O primary production
Shift: 8-8 rotating (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights). Plant operations are 24 hours.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the operation of plant equipment in accordance with established operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.
- Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with established guidelines.
- Restore and maintain equipment throughout the facility.
- Document maintenance performed and maintain machinery history files.
- Observe and ensure instruments are accurate during plant operation. Maintain proper logs and records related to plant operations.
- Load trucks with products for shipping.
- Replace chemicals in towers.
- Analyze and test products using analytical instruments including gas chromatograph and detector tubes.
- Participate in the Quality Improvement Process.
