The City of Quinte West invites applications for the Plans Examiner/Building Inspector position. The Plans Examiner/Building Inspector is responsible for receiving and reviewing building permit applications to ensure completion of applications, including required plans, applicable law and other approvals.

Responsibilities

• Examining and recommending approval or rejection of applications for building permits based on plans and specifications submitted in compliance with the Ontario Building Code Act
• Conduct site inspections for acceptance or rejection of compliance with the Ontario Building Code Act
• Enforce property standards, cross connections and back flow preventions and sign bylaw
