Physician - Pulmonologist - Recruitment/Relocation Incentive and EDRP Authorized

Summary This full time opportunity is located at the Central Iowa VA Healthcare Facility in Des Moines, IA. Responsibilities Duties include: Provide expert consultation and treatment for patients with Pulmonary conditions Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and the ordering of diagnostic labs and tests and studies. Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests and follow-up on test results in a timely manner. The Pulmonary Physician should have expertise in pulmonary procedures; including bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, chest tubes, pleurovac, and other skills depending on facility privileging. Physician will work with pulmonary clinic staff, respiratory staff and other disciplines to develop and implement plan of care according to patient need. Provide Electronic Consultation services (E-Consults) and reviews consults for determination if appropriate for Care in the Community or local/regional VA services.
