Job Description
Job Description Under pharmacist supervision, fills orders for unit doses, pre-packaged pharmaceuticals, intravenous admixtures, controlled substances, floor stock, supplemental medications, emergency kits and general stock. Maintains proper levels of pharmaceutical supplies, instruments and equipment. Performs related pharmacy duties such as quality management activities as drug product recalls, nursing unit inspections and pharmaceutical care audits. Delivers and picks-up medications and related items to and from the patient care areas. Assists with training of less experienced techs in their assigned areas. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age, culture, ethnicity, and specific individual diagnostic needs of the patients served in his/her department.
