Personal Support Worker

Reporting to the Client Services Manager, the Personal Support Worker is responsible for assisting residents with the activities of daily living. The primary goal is to promote and advocate for the mental, emotional and physical well-being of each resident and to facilitate their independence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

• Provide for emotional and physical comfort and safety of tenants.
• Respect Residents Rights including confidentiality of tenant information.
• Assist residents with the task of daily living related to personal care.
• Perform intake work for new tenants including a building tour.
• File resident’s binders alphabetically.
• Update Capsule of Life of Residents; Resident’s List and Mobility List and Medical Admission Record.
• Record appropriate information and unsafe conditions in the Communication Book.
• Respond to emergency situations.
