Job Description
Become a vital part of Orla Mining in Thunder Bay, Ontario as a Payroll Specialist. This role ensures accurate payroll processing using ADP while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations and reporting.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will report to the Payroll Supervisor and support compensation, benefits, and payroll tax services. You will manage all aspects of employee payroll from onboarding to departure, ensuring data accuracy and timely payroll delivery. Communication with various stakeholders regarding wages, benefits, and pension plans is key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process semi-monthly and year-end payrolls accurately
• Verify payroll data and ensure timely completion
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and processing issues
• Generate journal entries for SAP postings
• Prepare annual T4 and Record of Employment documents
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience required
