Payroll Lead, Hourly

Payroll Lead, Hourly Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, the Payroll Lead will be responsible for processing company payroll in a timely and accurate manner while in accordance with company and government policies. This position is based in the Winnipeg or Edmonton office dependent on the selected candidate's place of residence.

Responsibilities

• Review hourly payroll to verify accuracy and identify process improvements.
• Perform data validation on pay calculations for new hires, changes and terminations.
• Perform data validation on source deductions, benefits, and WCB.
• Review and resolve complex payroll issues, retroactive pay, corrections, and adjustments.
• Serve as primary trainer and mentor for new payroll administrators.
• Support payroll system testing and updates related to collective agreement changes.
• Maintain payroll procedures, job aids, and training documentation.
