Duties and Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Critical Care and Respiratory Services Program.
• Provides leadership and management of the 14-bed Intensive Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Ajax/Pickering.
• Ensures patient care services are delivered with high quality, safety and consistency on a daily basis.
• Uses effective planning, budgeting and problem‑solving skills to develop critical care unit processes.
• Manages staff and supports business goals, including operational efficiencies and optimization of staffing and interdisciplinary team functioning.
