Part Time Research Technologist Position

Enhance medical research at St. Joseph’s Health System as a part-time Research Technical Specialist. Contribute to studies on asthma and COPD, while processing sputum samples effectively.
Your role with the Nair General Research Department includes participating in observational and randomized trials, providing quantitative cell counts in sputum, and supporting research projects in the Hargreave Nair laboratory. You'll collaborate with a part-time technologist and report directly to Professor Parameswaran Nair, ensuring quality clinical service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process sputum samples for clinical and research studies
• Perform cytochemical staining for various inflammatory indices
• Operate coulter cell counter for cell analysis as needed
• Monitor laboratory workload and coordinate staff hours
