Job Description
Join Canuck Place as a Casual Registered Nurse in Vancouver. This role focuses on providing respite and palliative nursing care to children facing life-threatening illnesses.
As a Casual Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care according to the BCCNM standards. You will collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams to create effective care plans and provide education. A minimum of 15 hours biweekly is required for a 3 to 4-month period, transitioning to flexible casual hours afterward.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess needs of children and families regularly
• Develop and evaluate nursing care plans
• Consult with interdisciplinary teams for care revisions
• Maintain accurate records of care provided
• Advocate for children’s rights and needs
Requirements:
• Registered nurse with BCCNM certification
• Two years of experience in pediatric or palliative care
• CPR-C & AED certification within the past year
