OSSTF PSSP 6 - $51.17 - $70.96 per hour (plus vacation pay)

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Mental Health Lead, the Mental Health Worker will provide direct mental health support services (individual and group) to students and provide professional learning to educators, school staff and school communities that align with the Mental Health Strategy of the Board.

Major Responsibilities

• Collaborate and consult with teachers/school personnel /administrators with respect to supporting students experiencing emotional and/or mental health issues.
• Provide psycho‑educational workshops on issues around mental health and wellbeing.
• Conduct assessments of elementary students who present with mental health issues, to determine the level of support required and/or appropriate intervention strategies.
