Operating Room Technician

As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the ORT will be responsible for providing peri-operative patient care using the nursing process, in accordance with CLPNA and Standards of Practice and Competencies for the Perioperative LPN. The Misericordia Community Hospital OR includes the following types of services: general, plastic, urological, gynecological, Craniofacial Care Program surgery and orthopedic surgery. The incumbent will demonstrate competence in delivering safe, effective and efficient care in both a scrub and a circulating role as an integral part of the surgical team. The nurse is responsible to provide safe care throughout the patient stay in the OR and promotes their professional role by evaluating their own educational requirements and clinical practice.
