On-Call Child Protection Worker
Job Description
Support child welfare with Dilico as an On-Call Child Protection Worker in Fort William First Nation. Assist in essential after-hours investigations of abuse or neglect within your community.
Reporting to the Child Welfare Manager, you will perform critical intake duties, ensuring children and families receive necessary protection services. This flexible role allows you to address urgent community needs while adhering to regulatory standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle reports of child abuse and neglect promptly
• Investigate cases in alignment with protocols
• Liaise closely with Child Welfare Manager on issues
• Provide on-call support as required by service needs
• Ensure compliance with Dilico’s policies and standards
Requirements:
• Relevant diploma or degree in Human Services desired
• Proven skills in working with youth and families
• Clear Criminal Records Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening
