Job Description
Become a part of Humber River Health as a Nurse in the Birthing Unit, providing essential care at Hennick Humber Hospital with full-time rotating shifts.
This position demands expertise in assessment and total care for women during childbirth and the direct postpartum period. You will engage in scrubbing and circulating for cesarean births, alongside patient education and support, while being adaptable to duties on the Mother Baby Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and care for patients during childbirth
• Scrub and assist in cesarean deliveries
• Educate and support mothers and families
• Provide care on the Mother Baby Unit when needed
• Implement family-centered nursing practices
Requirements:
• License as a Registered Nurse in Ontario
• Current BCLS/CPR certification upon hire
• Experience in a Birthing Unit is required
• Willingness to obtain required certifications promptly
• Strong teaching abilities with patients and families
