Medical Transcriptionist
Job Description
UPMC is hiring a Medical Transcriptionist to join us on a full-time basis to support our Radiology Support department.
This position operates on night shift from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am with rotating weekends and holidays.
The person in this role is to provide quality and timely medical transcription services to authorized users of the entity's dictation system.
Responsibilities:
+ Workflow:
+ Edit all reports that are presented for corrections using the PS360 editing system. In office staff is responsible for answering and directing phone calls and faxing reports to requesting physicians as appropriate.
+ Notify the appropriate message group for any invalid status issues.
+ Edit dictated DXAs exams, insert the appropriate template, forward exam to leads for data entry.
+ Maintain daily records of work time vs. down time and forward to supervisor at conclusion of each work shift.
